Prevent a costly legal timebomb waiting to go off - computer porn

Did You Know

•2.5 Billion porn emails are sent worldwide per day

•30 - 40% of all web surfing during work hours is not business-related

•68% of all porn traffic occurs between 9am – 5pm

Computer Porn Is Everywhere

Businesses are increasingly inundated with computer-based porn from a variety of sources. Pornographic email, web sites, scanned images on CDs – all are conduits for the wrong images ending up on your company's computers.

According to a federal court ruling, employee viewing of objectionable content – and in particular, pornography – can constitute sexual harassment because it may create a hostile work environment.

Existing filtering technologies for web browsing and email are useful but incomplete solutions. They fail to block up to 20% of objectionable material, and they do not protect against all avenues of access.

Whether actively collected by employees or unsolicited, computer porn represents a major liability for companies. It's an expensive legal time bomb waiting to go off.
